Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist scored his third career Formula E win and took the championship lead at the Marrakesh ePrix with a late race overtake on Sebastien Buemi.
While Buemi started the race from pole position, Rosenqvist started down in third after making a mistake in qualifying, with the pair being separated by DS Virgin Racing's Sam Bird on the grid.
Throughout the race, Buemi was followed closely by Bird while Rosenqvist followed behind the pair in third place. When Bird suffered from a gearbox problem in the closing stages of his first stint, Rosenqvist leapt into second and followed Buemi into the pits to jump into his second car.
In the second stint, Rosenqvist remained comfortably within one second behind Buemi throughout and launched an attack up the inside of the Swiss driver in Turn 7 to take the lead with five laps to go, going to to take the checkered flag.
Buemi crossed the line in second place, just under one second behind the Swedish driver while Bird stood on the final step of the podium.
With a win at last month's Hong Kong ePrix, Roseqvist heads to Santiago with two consecutive victories under his belt and a four-point lead over Bird in the Drivers' Championship.
Nelson Piquet Jr finished in fourth place for Jaguar Racing and narrowly missed out on a second podium finish for the team in season four, being less than one second adrift of Bird.
Jean-Eric Vergne drove a strong recovery race for Techeetah to finish in fifth place after starting down in 13th, crossing the finishing line ahead of Jose Maria Lopez who secured points on his return to Formula E for Dragon Racing in sixth place.
Nick Heidfeld finished in seventh place despite being involved in a late-race accident between Maro Engel and his Venturi teammate, Edoardo Mortara, with Mortara retiring as a result of suspension damage and Engel dropping out of the points.
As a result of the accident, Formula E debutant Tom Blomqvist scored points for Andretti by finishing in eighth while Nico Prost finished in ninth place in the second Renault e.dams car.
Alex Lynn salvaged a tenth place finish after being spun out early on in the race by Daniel Abt. Abt was subsequently handed a drive-through penalty which relegated him out of what could have been a strong points finish, meaning that he finished in 11th place.
After three rounds of season four, reigning champion Lucas di Grassi still remains without any points after retiring from the Marrakesh ePrix through a reliability problem. Oliver Turvey and Andre Lotterer also retired from the race for NIO and Techeetah.
