Techeetah has announced that James Rossiter and Frederic Makowiecki will complete the team's driver lineup for next month's official Formula E rookie test following the Marrakesh ePrix.
Rossiter, who competes in the Asian Super GT Series and the Super Formula Championship, already has some experience behind the wheel of a Formula E car having tested for Venturi during pre-season testing in Valencia ahead of the start of Season 4 in a bid to secure a race seat for the championship.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity to work with Techeetah for the Formula E rookie test in Marrakesh," said the Briton. "I’m really looking forward to getting on track and working together with the team."
Makowiecki heads to the all-electric single seater series with a proven track record in sportscar racing having competed in the GT1 World Championship, the Super GT series, the World Endurance Championship and racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on seven occasions.
"I am very happy that Techeetah has given me the chance to try a Formula E car during the rookie test in Marrakesh," said Makowiecki. "I've followed the Championship from the beginning as I am interested by the new technology and strategy.
"The show on track is always great too. It will be a new experience and I can’t wait to jump in the car at Marrakesh," he added.
Formula E's rookie test in Marrakesh will be held on January 14, with each seat being reserved for drivers who have no experience of racing in the series.
