Former Manor Marussia F1 racer Roberto Merhi will return to Formula 2 for this weekend’s finale at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Merhi competed in Formula 1 with the now-defunct outfit in 2015, before switching to sportscars, and has made selected outings in Formula 2 this season.
Merhi contested his home event in Barcelona with Campos, and linked up with Rapax for the Spa/Monza double-header after the summer break.
René Binder replaced Merhi at Rapax for the Jerez round but the Spaniard will now return to the No. 19 car for the upcoming event at Yas Marina.
Johnny Cecotto Jr. and Sergio Canamasas also piloted the No. 19 car at stages this season, while Louis Delétraz took over in the No. 18 car from Nyck de Vries mid-season.
