Álex Palou will make his Formula 2 debut with Campos at this weekend’s penultimate round of the championship at Jerez.
Palou competed for Campos in Euroformula Open and Spanish Formula 3 in 2014, and graduated to GP3 with the squad in 2015, taking victory in Abu Dhabi.
Palou remained with Campos in 2016 in the tertiary category and placed 15th overall, and this year has split his time between Japanese Formula 3 and the Formula V8 3.5 Series.
Palou finished third in Japanese Formula 3 and has taken three podiums from six starts in Formula V8 3.5.
The Spaniard will replace Robert Visoiu in the No. 12 car, and will also compete in next month’s season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Palou previously tested the GP2/11 package at the end of 2016.
