Joel Eriksson completed a fine weekend with victory in Race 3 in Austria, as Lando Norris missed his chance to clinch the F3 title during a dramatic finale.
Eriksson and Norris contested victory at the Red Bull Ring, but Norris lost part of his front wing after clipping his rival with five minutes remaining in the race.
Norris dropped away from Eriksson, who went on to register victory, and was hit by Ralf Aron on the approach to Turn 4 on the final lap.
Norris and Aron both ended in the gravel, with Norris’ sole title rival Maximilian Gunther elevated to sixth position – which became fifth due to a time drop for Joey Mawson.
As a result, Gunther remains in title contention, 72 points behind Norris, with 75 up for grabs across Hockenheim’s finale next month.
The late drama elevated Ferdinand Habsburg into second, but he dropped to fourth due to a time penalty, in turn promoting Nikita Mazepin to the runner-up spot.
Tadasuke Makino was another beneficiary as he was moved into third position, enabling the Honda-backed youngster to celebrate his first podium in the championship.
Jehan Daruvala was sixth, ahead of Mawson, Mick Schumacher, David Beckmann and Marino Sato.
