Valentino Rossi carried out a second run in as many days at Misano as he continues to evaluate the possibility of competing at this weekend’s Aragón Grand Prix.
Rossi sustained fractures to his leg during a training accident at the end of August and was forced to miss his home race at Misano.
Yamaha has already named World Superbike Michael van der Mark as his replacement for Aragón, but Rossi is evaluating his fitness, ahead of a potential earlier-than-expected comeback.
Rossi completed a few laps aboard a YZF-R1M before rain intervened on Monday, and returned to action on Tuesday afternoon, racking up 20 laps at the venue.
Yamaha confirmed that Rossi finished his test “with an improved feeling and a more positive impression compared to yesterday.”
Rossi will undergo a medical examination on Wednesday, after which a final decision on his attempt to participate at MotorLand Aragón will be made.
