With three victories from the opening four races, Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent currently lead the class by 46 points over Vaillante Rebellion drivers Julien Canal and Bruno Senna, who lapped third in FP2.
Fastest lap in GTE-Pro went the way of Aston Martin, as the pair of V8 Vantages swept the top two positions.
The British marque settled for second in GTE-Am, however, as the Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche led for the second session in a row.
Qualifying for the 6 Hours of Mexico is scheduled for later today (Saturday, August 2nd) at 17:50 local time (23:50 UK).
