North American GT outfit Stevenson Motorsports will not contest the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship next season.
The North Carolina-based squad is ceasing operations having competed at various levels of the IMSA pyramid since 2003.
Its final race with the #57 Audi R8 LMS be the season-ending Petit Le Mans 10 Hours at Road Atlanta next month.
Stevenson Motorsports joined the IMSA WeatherTech series in 2016, having previously found success in the affiliated Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge.
The team finished fourth in the GT Daytona category at the first attempt, before claiming its maiden class victory with Andrew Davis and Lawson Aschenbach at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this year.
Davis and Aschenbach currently sit fifth in the GTD drivers' championship with two rounds remaining.
“After 15 years of racing professionally, the difficult decision to remove ourselves from motorsports competition is nothing less than heart-felt,” said team owner Johnny Stevenson.
“We regret to inform you all that we are ceasing racing operations following the close of the 2017 season in all classes and series."
"But, we find it is time to move on. We thank you for all your friendships, respect, help, and of course the successful competition you all have provided throughout those years. We will miss you all at the track. Hopefully we can finish on a real high note at Road Atlanta.”
Stevenson bows out with 75 podiums across all platforms, including 33 race wins and 25 pole positions
