McLaren F1 junior Lando Norris took his second win of the European Formula 3 round at Spa-Francorchamps, while points leader Maximilian Gunther crashed.
Norris lost pole position due to a penalty for his race two incident, which dropped him to fourth, with Callum Ilott inheriting P1 on the grid.
However, Ilott quickly lost out on the first lap, with Prema team-mates Guan Yu Zhou, Gunther and Carlin’s Norris moving ahead on the run to Les Combes.
Norris then moved ahead of Gunther, with Ilott then moving ahead. Jake Hughes then attempted a move and ducked out of Gunther’s slipstream on the Kemmel straight.
The two collided, with Gunther spinning into the barrier and bringing out the safety car, which allowed Norris to take the lead at the restart.
He went on to claim victory, with title contender Joel Eriksson again recovering from a poor grid slot to move up to second by the finish.
Zhou lost out to Ilott but reclaimed the spot to pick up third, ahead of his fellow Prema racer. Jehan Daruvala was fifth, with race two winner Ferdinand Habsburg sixth.
Ralf Aron lost out in a close battle with Habsburg, while Mick Schumacher, Harrison Newey and Joey Mawson completed the top 10.
