After last year when all, then, 22 drivers behaved themselves impeccably around the streets of Baku, this year was a total turnaround. At times we were asking ourselves if some of the drivers had left their brains behind in Montreal, such was the standard, or rather lack of standard, in their driving yesterday in what can only be called a banger racing fest. Joe Saward, James Moy and Phillip Horton have the stories and photos from trackside in downtown Baku, enjoy!
Meanwhile over the pond in the great state of Wisconsin, the IndyCar boys were driving their favourite road course on the calendar, Road America in Elkhart Lake. This classic track has seen some amazing races over the years but yesterday we watched Scott Dixon show everyone how you tame the Penske juggernaut, even after had they locked out the top four grid positions.
Plus we have Formula 2 action from Baku, Jezza Williams has full run down in advance of next weekend's Rally Poland and he also has all the WRC team news but still not real reason why Kris Meeke was dropped from the Citroën squad for the rally. And finally Ben Sayers tells us just how Aston Martin managed to take their first GTE win at Le Mans for nearly ten years…
