Sky Sports F1 and Channel 4 have confirmed their broadcasting plans ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 season.

Since 2012, TV rights for F1 in the UK have been shared between Sky and a terrestrial broadcaster, with Channel 4 taking over from the BBC for the 2016 season.

Sky will show every session of the season live once again in 2017, as it has done for the past five seasons, with Channel 4 showing 10 races live and the remainder through highlight packages.

For the first time since the sharing agreement came into force, the Monaco Grand Prix will be broadcast live on free-to-air TV after Channel 4 secured it as one of its picks. Bahrain, the third round of the season, will be Channel 4's first live weekend of the new year.
