Ross Brawn has denied he has been offered a job running Formula 1's commercial and sporting interests, despite claims by several publications that he has signed a contract with F1's new owners Liberty Media to do just that.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Brawn denied the claim, but confirmed he had been taken on in a consultancy role to advise Liberty Media on exactly how the sport operates.
"Liberty have not got far enough down the road to make any commitments yet," said the former Ferrari and Mercedes team boss.
"I'm doing a little consulting to help them better understand F1, but that's all."
However Brawn would be open to such a role, but said it "all depends" on what current boss Bernie Ecclestone does in the future.
The 86-year-old has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Liberty Media to continue running the sport, but that has yet to be confirmed by Liberty themselves.
