Strakka Racing has announced it will not compete in the final two rounds of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship due to engine issues.
The British team has suffered numerus engine-related problems during the year with its one-car LMP2 entry.
Strakka’s car suffered issues with the engine during the closing stages of the last WEC round at the Fuji circuit in Japan, which have proved to be terminal.
Strakka has been forced to cut short its 2016 WEC campaign, having hit the engine allocation limit, and will not race in Shanghai and Bahrain.
The team, which is currently fifth in the LMP2 championship with two rounds remaining, announced the news on Twitter.
