Formula E has unveiled the track layout and location of the all-electric championship’s 2016/2017 season finale in Montreal.
The current season of Formula E kicked off earlier this month in Hong Kong, with Sebastien Buemi taking victory.
It will come to a close next July in North America, with a double header in New York followed by the final weekend double header in Montreal.
The races will be the first for Formula E in Canada. The 14-turn, 1.71-mile track layout is still subject to homologation from the FIA.
The weekend in Montreal will take place from the 29-30 July, with the track layout being located close to the city centre.
It will start from the Boulevard Rene-Levesque E and take to Rue Viger E, past the Maison Radio-Canada. The layout is close to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Formula 1 circuit.
“Formula E wants to bring fully-electric racing to the streets of the world’s leading cities and Montreal is another fantastic new addition to the calendar,” said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag.
“Montreal is a great city with a great vibe – the perfect place to conclude the third season of Formula E.
“I’m sure the drivers will revel in the opportunity to fight for the title against the backdrop of Montreal.”
