Romain Grosjean says he has almost "zero" confidence in his car after he span and crashed during practice and then did the exact same during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.
Grosjean was at a loss to explain the "weird" circumstances behind the crashes and admitted he had little confidence ahead of Sunday's race when he doesn't feel he was at fault for the spins.
"I don’t know what’s going on, to be fair. Yesterday we had issues, we were struggling. I spun the car and crashed yesterday and ended up doing the same again today. That’s not my style of driving, to do that twice in two days.
"There’s something not quite right, so we really need to analyse what it is. We’ve been trying to resolve the problem. It was qualifying and I was pushing at 200 percent. It’s just been a weird weekend all along.
"Confidence is shit. Close to zero," he added. "When you spin once at high speed and the second time you spin under braking, it is hard to get any confidence."
The Haas driver also received a gearbox penalty, with the team forced to change his unit ahead of the race, meaning he will start 20th.
