Nirei Fukuzumi has been handed a grid penalty for the next GP3 round in Sepang after a collision with his ART Grand Prix team-mate Charles Leclerc at Monza.
The Japanese driver squeezed championship leader Leclerc on the run to the first Lesmo corner in the early stages of the second race.
The two ART cars collided, with both drivers retiring from the race in the gravel at the Lesmo turn. Tatiana Calderon’s Arden was also caught up in the contact.
The stewards deemed Fukuzumi was at fault, having not left enough room for Leclerc on the inside line.
He has been given a three-place grid penalty, which will be applied for the first race at Sepang.
