The Endurance Committee has made changes to the Balance of Performance (BoP) rules in the GTE Pro class ahead of this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
The No.68 Ford GT will start from pole position in GTE Pro after setting the pace following two qualifying sessions at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
A meeting of the ACO, the FIA and members of the GTE Pro manufacturers took place on Friday, resulting in several modifications being introduced.
Ferrari and Ford have been pegged back, with 25kg and 5kg increases in the base weights of the cars respectively.
Meanwhile Aston Martin and Corvette have received 0.4mm and 0.3mm reductions to their engine restrictor diameters.
Ford has been hit by a boost decrease, while the fuel volume has been changed. Porsche, Corvette and Ferrari have had increases of eight litres, seven litres and four litres.
