Lucas di Grassi has confirmed he will remain with the ABT Schaeffler Audi team in Formula E next season, ending speculation he could join the new Jaguar outfit.

Di Grassi, who currently leads the championship by 11 points, had been linked with a move to Jaguar for season three as the British team searches for an experienced line-up, but on Friday confirmed his commitment to ABT.

"I will stay with ABT," di Grassi confirmed to NBC Sports ahead of the Berlin ePrix this weekend.

"There were some discussions before on how we continue together and how we could improve our development, improve the team, this and that.

"We reached an agreement, a very good agreement that I’m very happy with. There is no reason in season three to move teams."

The Brazilian racer confirmed it was a one-year deal which will allow him to see how the team progresses next season before committing further.

"Let’s say we start with season three and depending on how season three goes, the involvement with manufacturers, how the championship shapes up, we have an option for a longer term partnership," he added.

Di Grassi's team-mate Daniel Abt has also been confirmed for season three of Formula E, meaning the team will field an unchanged driver line-up.
