There will be 22 drivers on the grid for the opening round of the 2016 GP2 season at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain this weekend.

The series confirmed the official entry list for the Barcelona weekend, with Status Grand Prix absent having missed several days of pre-season testing.

Carlin originally did not have a team-mate on the entry list for Marvin Kirchhofer but it has now been announced that Sergio Canamasas will return to GP2 with the team.

Status Grand Prix debuted in GP2 last season but despite winning two races, it only completed two days of testing over the winter and is not on the entry list.
