Anthony Davidson says he would consider competing in Formula E if new entrant Jaguar approached him ahead of their debut next season.
Although the Briton confirmed he had received no firm interest, he would seriously consider splitting his time between the World Endurance Championship and Formula E if an approach was made.
"If I was approached seriously and wasn’t messed about by having to do a driver shoot-out or anything ridiculous like that, then maybe I would,” said Davidson.
"So far I haven’t had a serious approach. I would be up for it. I’m always up for racing in different cars, especially to drive a single-seater again would be nice, but it’s not high on my priority list at the moment."
Jaguar's two seats are expected to be amongst the most coveted on the grid due to the British manufacturer's partnership with battery supplier Williams, but Davidson insists he wouldn't go out of his way to secure one of them.
"I wouldn’t turn down an offer, let’s put it that way. But I’m not going to break a leg falling over myself to get into one," he added. "I'm 37 years old now. If I can't sell myself now then there's no point. If people don’t know what I’m capable of then that’s their loss."
