Kimi Raikkonen ended the final day of the first pre-season Formula 1 test quickest for Ferrari with a 1:23.477, though it was team-mate Sebastian Vettel who claimed the quickest time over the four days with a 1:22.810 on Pirelli’s Ultra-Soft compound.

Red Bull’s Daniil Kvyat was second, albeit more than eight-tenths down on Raikkonen’s best lap, having also opted to use the new Ultra-Soft tyre.

Kevin Magnussen completed the most laps by a single driver on day four for Renault with 153, though he caused a red flag on his 154th effort after coming to a halt at Turn 3. That red flag came with just ten minutes of the session left, though it was restarted with five minutes on the clock allowing for some final runs, although no driver improved on their times.

Whilst Magnussen hit the 150 mark, Mercedes flew past that number, totalling 185 laps split between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton. The pair finished seventh and eighth quickest respectively.

McLaren were at the opposite end of the mileage table, with Fernando Alonso managing just three laps.

The Spaniard’s car suffered a coolant leak early in the morning and the team were unable to get his MP4-31 out in the afternoon, calling it a day before lunch without setting a single timed lap.

Force India’s Alfonso Celis picked up the pace in the closing hour, jumping to third with a late Super-Soft run, which put him ahead of Magnussen and Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen in fifth.

Manor’s Rio Haryanto also caused a red flag when he went off at Turn 5 and ended up in the gravel. The Indonesian driver failed to see the circuit again after his incident, finishing 11th with a 1:28.266.
