The second day of the second MotoGP test at Phillip Island saw Suzuki's Maverick Vinales top the timing screens by just over a tenth to Honda's Marc Marquez.
Whilst the opening day of the test saw almost continuous rain showers which limited running, Thursday's drier conditions saw plenty of running in the afternoon as the rain was limited to the morning.
Andrea Dovizioso completed the most laps with 88, placing him 12th, whilst Jorge Lorenzo and Tito Rabat also broke the 80-lap barrier.
Suzuki test rider Takuya Tsuda suffered an early fall when he ventured out in the morning rain, but recovered to complete 40 laps in the afternoon, though remained 3.4 seconds off the pace.
The times at the top were close, with first to 14th covered by little more than a second.
