Jota Sport has announced that it will run G-Drive Racing in this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship.
The G-Drive Racing team, previously fielded by OAK Racing, claimed the LMP2 teams’ championship in 2015 with four wins for the No.26 car, driven by Roman Rusinov, Julien Canal and Sam Bird.
Rusinov, Canal and Bird also took the drivers’ title in the LMP2 class last year. The former remains at G-Drive Racing for the new season and will be joined by Nathanael Berthon, along with a yet-to-be-confirmed third driver.
The partnership with the LMP2 team marks Jota’s first full venture in the FIA WEC, running a new Oreca 05 Nissan in the series.
