Ferrari has become the latest team to pass the FIA's mandatory crash tests, which must be completed successfully before a new car can take to the circuit for the first time.

The Italian squad joins Haas, Manor and Renault in passing the tests and are therefore on course to make the opening test of the 2016 season, which takes place at Spain's Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 22.

It's expected all teams bar Sauber – which has confirmed its C35 will be delayed until the second test – will be present with their new cars.

Ferrari have yet to confirm when it will launch its '16 car, but it's highly likely to take place via an online launch a few days before testing begins, as is now tradition.
