FP3: Hamilton leads final practice as Mercedes pull clear

Lewis Hamilton made it three from three as he topped the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix on Saturday.

The Briton was the only driver to dip below the 1:23 mark by just three thousandths of a second, to beat team-mate Nico Rosberg by a tenth.

Ferrari and Red Bull look set to battle it out for ‘best of the rest’, with Sebastian Vettel third quickest and Daniil Kvyat fourth. The former was almost a second adrift, whilst the latter was 1.2s off Hamilton’s best.

The session was fairly uneventful bar a few spins from Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso and others. Kimi Raikkonen meanwhile suffered a water leak, curbing his running.
