Nico Rosberg topped the opening practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix on Friday morning whilst Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel hit trouble when his Ferrari stopped on-track after just a handful of laps.

Key points from FP1:

– Rosberg’s early 1:10.401 was good enough to keep him top despite it being set within the first 30 minutes of the session.

– The German beat team-mate Lewis Hamilton by more than three-tenths as the Briton went wide on his final attempt at displacing Rosberg.
