Mercedes reserve Pascal Wehrlein put the title winning team at the top of the times on the second and final day of the post-season Abu Dhabi test on Wednesday.

The German’s lap was over half a second better than Raffaele Mariciello managed in the Ferrari F14T, whilst Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen was over a second off.

Marcus Ericsson had his second outing with Sauber, clocking up 112 laps in the process and finished fourth fastest ahead of Caterham’s Will Stevens.

Formula Renault 3.5 race winner Spike Goddard was sixth for Force India, with Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo seventh.
