Lewis Hamilton took a fourth consecutive victory as he held onto victory by the smallest of margins to team-mate Nico Rosberg.

The battle for the lead heated up in the closing ten laps as Rosberg gradually inched closer to Hamilton, but didn’t quite have enough laps left to make the move, eventually finishing just 0.6 second behind.

Hamilton’s fourth-straight win hands him a narrow championship lead.

Daniel Ricciardo claimed his first podium finish, albeit finishing almost 50 seconds down the road of the Mercedes duo, but nonetheless he managed to keep hold of his grid position despite dropping to fourth behind Valtteri Bottas in the opening stages.

Team-mate Sebastian Vettel came in fourth, having started down in 15th thanks to an issue during qualifying and a grid penalty for changing his gearbox. The German just pipped Bottas to take the position on the closing lap.

Fernando Alonso meanwhile made a last lap move on his own team-mate to take P6, with Kimi Raikkonen P7.

Romain Grosjean secured Lotus’s first points of 2014 with eighth ahead of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg in the final few points paying positions.
