McLaren’s Kevin Magnussen impressed to go quickest on Thursday in Bahrain during the second day of the second pre-season test.

The Danish driver was over 1.5 seconds quicker than anybody else as he sailed to the top of times ahead of Nico Hulkenberg.

Fernando Alonso was third fastest with Nico Rosberg fourth.

Valtteri Bottas made up for lost time by posting a massive 116 laps, eventually putting in a 1:37.328 to secure fifth ahead of Caterham’s Kamui Kobayashi.
