Williams are the latest team to confirm that they’ll be present at the opening pre-season test of the 2014 season.
The Grove outfit confirmed the FW36 was entering the final build stages before it’s shipped off to Jerez at the end of January for four days of testing.
Williams has, in previous seasons, chosen to miss the first test. However with the new cars sharing very few components with last years, it’s vitaly important they get as much running as possible.
So far, they are the fifth team to confirm their attendance along with McLaren, Mercedes, Caterham and Marussia. So far only Lotus has confirmed it won’t be present.
“Things are starting to get busy now as we enter FW36 car build week,” Williams wrote on their Twitter.
“We’ll be on track in Jerez in just over 2 weeks…and everyone is looking forward to getting going now!”
The F1 Times will be reporting live from Jerez, so make sure you’re following us for all the pre-season testing action!
