Lewis Hamilton aims to have fun during Sunday’s Korean Grand Prix and says he’ll go for every and any gap he can find in an attempt to beat Sebastian Vettel to the race win.
The Mercedes driver, who sits 96 points behind Vettel, claims he has nothing to lose in comparision to the Red Bull driver who needs just a few more wins to secure his fourth consecutive title.
“I’ll do everything I can to attack because I’ve got nothing to lose,” said the Briton. “When I see a gap, I’m going for it. He [Vettel] has more to lose than I do so I’m going to go for it.”
Whilst Hamilton qualified just two tenths off Vettel, he admitted there wasn’t much more in the car but is confident of challenging for the win on Sunday.
“We did as good a job as we could and I felt like I got the most out of the car I could,” he added. “Perhaps there is always a little bit of room to improve but in general it’s been a good weekend so far. I really hope tomorrow we are able to fight with them, but we will wait and see.”
