Kimi Raikkonen will miss Thursday’s media commitments due to sickness, according to the Lotus F1 Team.

A short statement confirmed the Finnish driver wouldn’t be taking part in his usual duties, instead he will remain at his hotel until Friday.

“Thursday’s media call cancelled due to illness; he will be here tomorrow (Friday),” a Lotus statement read.

Raikkonen’s illness comes at a convenient time for the 33-year-old who faces a barrage of questions about his future, with links to both Ferrari and Red Bull as well as his current team.
