The Caterham F1 team may adopt the vanity panel at future races after it conducted testing in Magny-Cours this week with a noticeably smoother nose.

The Leafield-based outfit was one of just a few to opt against using the panel – which covers the stepped noses which were a feature of the 2012 season following a change in the regulations.

However it looks as though they will run the update at the Spanish Grand Prix in just over a week as part of their larger upgrade package which Heikki Kovalainen was shaking down during a promotional day on Wednesday at the French circuit.
