Kimi Raikkonen has pulled out of the third day of testing for Lotus in Barcelona due to illness.

The Finn phoned the team on Saturday morning from his hotel room, with suspected food poisoning the reason behind his sickness.

GP2 champion and Lotus reserve Davide Valsecchi will replace him behind the wheel of the E21 for the penultimate days testing.

Meanwhile the team aren’t sure whether he will be well enough to drive on Sunday. Which if the case, Romain Grosjean is likely to replace him.
