Sebastian Vettel’s second place in the United States Grand Prix was enough to secure Red Bull their third consecutive Constructors’ Championship – putting them amongst an elite group of teams which have achieved the same feat.

Team principal Christian Horner thanked the entire Red Bull team back at its Milton Keynes factory where the cars are designed and built.

“It’s incredible for the whole team to have won a third consecutive World Championship,” he said.

“The Constructors’ is what we use to measure ourselves against our competitors and, for every member of the team, it’s how we gauge our performance.

“The Drivers’ obviously has the prestige and public following but within the team they carry equal importance. So, to have achieved a consecutive third World Championship, which only three other teams in the history of the sport have achieved, puts us into a very elite group and having done it in such a short space of time is testimony to all the members of the team.

“That’s all the hard work, the long hours and dedication from every department. It’s a very proud moment for every single member of the team and Red Bull.”

Facts and figures to date:

Ferrari: (’75, ’76, ’77 and ’99, ’00, ’01, ’02, ’03, ’04)
McLaren: (’88, ’89, ’90, ’91)
Williams: (’92, ’93, ’94)
Red Bull: (’10, ’11, ’12)

The Team has won 23.4% of all races it has started;
Taken pole in 31.7% of the qualifying sessions it’s taken part in;
Won the Constructors’ Championship in 37.5% of the years competed.
