Sebastian Vettel will start on pole position for the 2012 Indian Grand Prix after putting in a 1:25.283 to skip ahead of team-mate Mark Webber by just a 0.044s.

The result marks Red Bull’s third consecutive front-row lockout.

McLaren were quite clearly the second fastest team with Lewis Hamilyon lining up in third with Jenson Button alongside.

Ferrari meanwhile occupate the third-row with Fernando Alonso just pipping Felipe Massa to fifth position.
