The final day of the second and penultimate pre-season test saw Kamui Kobayashi set the quickest time in his Sauber, topping the times with a 1:22.312.
Kobayashi was closely followed by yesterday’s fastest man, Pastor Maldonado, just over two tenths slower.
Paul di Resta and Jenson Button were also within a second of the lead pace to finish 3rd and 4th respectively, with both outfits focusing on longer runs.
Di Resta caused one of three red flags when he went off track and ended up in the gravel.
Marussia failed to complete a single lap after suffering a suspension issue. The outfit is set to debut its 2012 car at the next test on Thursday, again in Barcelona.
