The RB7 will feature two new sponsors for the 2011 season at this weekends Abu Dhabi GP in the form or L’Equipe and Du.
The logos of L’Equipe, a French media company, will feature on the rear-wing endplate and both drivers overalls for the Abu Dhabi weekend only, to celebrate the launch of Red Bull’s magazine, The Red Bulletin, in France.
François Morinière, General Manager from L’Equipe said: “L’Equipe is very proud to enter into partnership with Red Bull, ahead of the launch of the Red Bulletin in France. Red Bull has become a major player in the world of sport, bringing innovative and breakthrough approach to competition – this is well demonstrated by Red Bull Racing and their success in Formula One. Our leadership in print and digital media in France reflects this and the brands are complimentary with L’Equipe and Red Bull sharing passion for sport.”
Markus Obrist, Marketing Manager, Red Bull France commented: “Red Bull is proud to announce this partnership with L’Equipe, a true institution in media and French sport. Thanks to this partnership, the French will have the opportunity to discover The Red Bulletin, which is launched in France today, a fantastic monthly magazine about the World of Red Bull.”
The UAE’s fastest mobile broadband provider, Du, will also join the team for a single race, as they did in 2010. Their logos will feature on both drivers overalls too.
Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer for du, said: “As the provider of the fastest nationwide real broadband network, we are proud to once more be the official partner of Red Bull Racing. It’s a very fitting relationship – our synergistic beliefs bring the fastest sport in the world to our customers, who already enjoy the UAE’s fastest nationwide real mobile broadband network. We constantly strive to bring the best of the best to our customers, and so we are offering them even more reasons to be excited this month, with several competitions that will be held adjacently to the 2011 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. We wish Red Bull Racing the best of success for the upcoming race.”
Christian Horner, Team Principal, added: “It’s fantastic to re-sign du for a second year. Speed and reliability are two very important attributes to both Red Bull Racing and du, so there are obvious strong connections between the two brands. I hope that together we achieve an excellent result at the forthcoming Grand Prix.”
