Stefano Coletti has been chosen to test for Toro Rosso during the three-day Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi in a fortnight, confirmed the 22-year-old.

Coletti drove for Trident in GP2 this season and took two victories, but his season was cut short after he fractured his vertebrae in a collision during the Belgian round.

His recovery is now complete, allowing him to drive the current STR6 just days after the Abu Dhabi GP.

“I’m happy to finally announce that I’ll be testing with Toro Rosso in Abu Dhabi.
