Martin Brundle is expected to leave the BBC to join Sky next season, after the former F1 driver revealed he has had offers from both broadcasters to cover the sport.
Brundle, who has commented on F1 since 1997 for both ITV and the BBC, wrote on Twitter that he “had an offer from BBC and Sky,” and that he would “consider my future.”
The Daily Telegraph reports that Brundle will take a co-commentary role alongside David Croft, who currently commentates on BBC 5-Live.
It is understood that Speed TV’s Australian commentator Leigh Diffey, is the favourite to sit alongside David Coulthard at the BBC for the ten races they will cover live under the new broadcast deal.
