The HRT outfit has been fined £4,387 (€5,000, $6,950) for the unsafe release of Daniel Ricciardo during his second pit-stop in Korea.
The team breached Article 23.1 (j) of the 2011 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations which states that “it is the responsibility of the competitor to release his car after a pit stop only when it is safe to do so.”
Ricciardo was released into the path of a competitior who had to take avoiding action.
