Team Lotus have been fined €10,000 (£8,700) for releasing Heikki Kovalainen into the path of Sebastian Vettel during their final pit-stops on lap 49.
The team breached article 23.1 (j) of the 2011 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations for an ‘unsafe release’.
Michael Schumacher was also handed a reprimand for his contact with Sergio Perez.
