Sebastian Vettel says he isn’t thinking about the various possibilities of how he can win his second championship at the next race in Singapore.
The 2011 title race could indeed be over when the flag falls at the Marina Bay circuit in just under a fortnights time, but the Red Bull driver is only focussing on extending his lead.
“Looking at the championship, obviously its still some way to go,” said the German driver. “We are in a very, very strong position which I think we deserve to be in because we’ve been working very hard, we’ve made very few mistakes.
“We’ll see, I don’t really think about the points, and the gaps, and the possibilites at the next race. As long as we come out with a bigger lead after the next race then I think we’ve done a good job. We’ll see what happens.”
The 24-year-old would need to win the race, whilst requiring Fernando Alonso to finish no higher than fourth, with Jenson Button and teammate Mark Webber no higher than 3rd.
