Jenson Button will get the opportunity to drive a McLaren F1 car through the streets of Manchester later this month as part of a three-day Vodafone event.
The F1 fan zone, run by sponsor Vodafone, will see the 2009 champion speed from Albert Square at 11am on August 29th though to Deansgate – a distance of about half a mile.
“Driving an F1 car through Manchester is going to be a unique experience for me,” said the 31-year-old.
“There’s a chance for the public to win some great prizes so I hope Manchester is going to be out in force and are looking forward to the bank holiday as much as I am.”
