A criminal complaint against Adrian Sutil for grievous bodily harm has officially been filed, according to a spokesperson for the Munish state prosecutor.
The complaint follows an alledged altercation between the Force India driver and Eric Lux, CEO of Genii Capital, owners of the Renault F1 team, whilst the two were out partying following the Chinese Grand Prix at the M1NT club in Shanghai.
Whilst the incident happened in mid-April, the criminal complaint has only just been officially filed and proceedings against Sutil can now take place.
The German says he isn’t fazed by the process, nor is he worried about losing his place at the Silverstone based outfit.
“Why should I lose my drive,” he told reporters. “That’s a private thing and this is my work here.”
Though he admitted the matter could see the two in court if Lux intends to proceed with his complaint, which could potentially see Sutil jailed, though a heavy fine is more likely.
“There is a story out there now since a few months,” he said in the Valencia paddock. “What can I say, I mean I have to concentrate on my job anyway. If he does that then we can go to court.
“First of all I have to know what is going on here and my manager will arrive soon and I think we have to wait until he is here, and then I can talk to him and see what is next.”
