Lewis Hamilton certainly spoke his mind after the Monaco Grand Prix, accusing the FIA stewards of beind racist, though the comments were made in a light hearted manner.
The McLaren driver had a torrid time in Monaco after starting ninth, following the deletion of his qualifying time on Saturday.
His weekend went from bad to worse as he attempted to pass Felipe Massa at the hairpin, though the attempt ended in the Brit and the Brazilian locking wheels.
Hamilton received a drive-through penalty for his hand in the accident.
He also faces a second penalty which has put his sixth place in doubt after he and Pastor Maldonado collided at turn one after the race restart.
When questioned after the race about the incidents and the call to the stewards, he replied: “I’ve been to the stewards, out of six races, five times, it’s a joke, a fricken joke.
“Very rarely do you get an opportunity to overtake here. I was quite a lot quicker than Mass and the guy turned so early. I tried to avoid it but we were stuck together.
“I got the penalty as usual, he held me up in qualifying and I get the penalty, he turned in to me and I got the penalty then I went up the inside of Maldonado and he turned in too early and crashed in to me.
“These drivers are so absolutely fricken ridiculous, it’s stupid.”
His outburst then worsened when he accused the FIA stewards of being racist as a reason that he’s called before them so frequently.
“Maybe it’s because I’m black… that’s what Ali G says,” Hamilton said in an attempted homorous manner.
It’s unsure whether or not the 2008 world champion will face any disciplinary action for his post-race comments.
