Adrian Sutil says all his efforts remain focused on this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix, adding that recent events following the Chinese race won’t be playing on his mind.
The German held a press conference on Thursday, flanked by his manager, Manfred Zimmermann. The two reassured the media that the racing is what matters.
“To be honest, it is one part of my life – but I am concentrating on the racing at the moment and that is what counts,” he said.
“I am here in Barcelona to focus on my race this weekend, focus for the next one in Monaco. That is all that counts and that is all I can answer at the moment.
“There are always difficult situations but I have to live with it,” added the Force India driver.
The Silverstone based outfit, owned by Vijay Mallya, released a statement confirming that Sutil would be racing on Sunday, but stopped short of confirming him for any other races.
Zimmermann urged the media and fans to not read too much into the statement, saying: “The team was asked, will Adrian be in the car in Barcelona? And the team said, yes he will be in the car in Barcelona. That is it.”
