Codemasters, the developers behind F1 2010, the hugely successful Formula One game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 have confirmed that the next installment in the series, F1 2011, will be released on September 23rd.
The follow up to the BAFTA award winning F1 2010 is currently under development at Codemasters Birmingham and will again be available on the PC, PS and Xbox system as well as the Nintendo 3DS and Sony NGP.
A statement from Codemasters hinted at a deeper involvement in the drivers life off the track, as well as better multiplayer features.
“In F1 2011 players will be challenged to ‘Be the driver, live the life, go compete’, with wide-ranging technical and gameplay advancements on and off track and vastly extended competitive and co-operative multiplayer components.”
