The Williams F1 team made their stock market debut today, though the flotation could have started better after the shares almost immediately dropped to as low €23.55.
A small rally toward the end of the day lifted them to €24.30 apiece, 3.8% down on their starting price of €25.25.
The share sale has raised €60 million ($83m, £51m) for the Grove based outfit which has helped to secure their future as an independent constructor, according to co-founder Sir Frank Williams.
“Our listing marks a new era in the history of the team,” he is quoted as saying by the BBC. “Williams’ future as an independent constructor is sustained by this listing, providing us the base from which to further grow.”
