Felipe Massa has admitted the 2010 season was a bad one for him but, rather than wallowing in self-pity and disappointment, the Brazilian aims to fight back in 2011.
The 29-year-old managed just five podium finishes whilst his team-mate, Fernando Alonso, managed ten, five of them wins.
“The year was bad for me, a tough year,” said Massa. “I’m not afraid or ashamed to discuss it.”
Though he stressed his bad seasons have often been followed by much more positive results. “Every time I have a bad season, the next one is good.”
The Ferrari driver is confident the regulation changes in 2011 will help him to start afresh and, once again battle for the title.
“In 2011, everything changes, new car, new tyres, new regulations. We hope to battle for first place in 2011,” he added.
